Harbour Crane

Following a catastrophic failure of the slew bearing, SBS were engaged to carry out an RCA inspection on the new bearing.  We manufactured the ø4,100mm slew bearing in 85 days. The slew bearing was an internally geared triple row roller design.

Senior engineer attended the factory to carry out FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing – hardness, material certificates and chemical composition, axial/radial run out, axial, radial clearance, gear run-out and dimensional tolerances).

SBS carried out in-situ flatness survey, using laser levelling technology.

Bucket wheel reclaimer

Slew Bearing Services manufactured a 5,280mm combi slew bearing for a bucket wheel reclaimer and chartered an Antonov AN-124 cargo plane to deliver the slew bearing in under 60 days from start to finish.

Single Buoy Mooring

SBS designed and manufactured swivel and main roller bearings (MRB) to class specifications for a SBM in Myanmar.  Bearings ranged from 610 to 1900mm for swivel design and 3,955mm for MRB.
